Hi!
My team captain and daughter inspired me to take up running and do this year's Run4Lighthouse! I have been training since March 2020 and proud to join her in this important 'virtual' event.
Many families have been marked by the loss of a loved one. We personally know children and youth that have been supported by the team at Lighthouse during such a challenging time (at no cost to them), and they continue to do so over the years.
Please consider supporting this great cause during these trying times . Making the time to foster a community coming together to create HOPE and LOVE, is more important now than ever.

With your support, we will raise funds to support grieving children in our community. Children like Josie benefit from the work we do at Lighthouse. Read her words below - she recently shared how being with her support group makes her feel.
365 participants were supported at Lighthouse in 2019. At a cost of $1700 per child each year, and with no government support, our fundraising is vital. The challenges of COVID-19 restrictions means that we will struggle to meet our 2020 fundraising goals as we rely on events - please consider making a donation today.
All donations enable us to provide hope and healing to those most impacted.
- Our groups are currently being run virtually and families are receiving at-home activities and ongoing regular support from staff.
- With two-thirds of our Lighthouse families being sole parents, the increased isolation and anxiety caused by this pandemic will mean our services will be needed more than ever.
- In the aftermath of this pandemic, we anticipate a surge in the need for grief support as families have been unable to say goodbye to loved ones and mourning rituals have been restricted.
