My Story…
I am a Migraine Warrior who has lived with Migraine Disease since 1986, with 18 of those years as Chronic Migraine diagnosis. Long story short, there are not enough doctors trained in this area and because my migraines were not treated properly, they became chronic. I am determined to live my life and continue to work full-time as long as I can. Researching new migraine treatments has become a daily job.
As of today, there is no cure.
We do not have enough doctors!!! Currently, in Corpus Christi, TX, there are no headache clinics or treatment centers. There is one neurologist within 300 miles who is considered a headache specialist. One doctor for our entire city, county, and surrounding counties!!!!
All donations made to this event will be donated to UT Southwestern Neurology. The funds will support their headache fellowship program and local migraine research.
