The Inn Out of the Cold

All of the funds raised through registrations and pledges will be donated to the INN OUT OF THE COLD.

The Inn is a program operating in St. Thomas designed to provide shelter seven nights a week during the winter months in response to the needs of people who have basic needs insecurities. Guests who stay there receive good hot meals, a warm safe night’s sleep, have access to a shower, laundry facilities, breakfast in the morning, and some much needed support.  Some guests will come for access to meals only and others will stay for one night, one week, one month, or for the entire season.

It is through donations/pledges like yours that our committee and the previous organizing committee have been successful in helping the amazing people who run this program provide needed support to individuals in challenging circumstances over the winter months. 

 Over the past six years we have been able to give the Inn over $80,000 through community support.  Those funds purchased beds and bedding, a washer and dryer plus installation, laptops for job and housing searches, shelving for guest belongings, medical supplies, allocation for guests for special needs, training for staff, a significant number of hot meals, items to meet basic needs for those with very limited resources; plus much more.  But, the need doesn’t stop there.  Items that have been purchased a few years ago are in need of replacement and additional items are required as community need increases.

Your donation will make a difference. You will help make it possible to continue to enable the Inn to meet community needs, raise awareness, and co-create hope for individuals/families facing homelessness in our area.
