Join us on Sept 11, 2021 in the heart of South End for the 8th Annual South End Shuffle 5K & Mile Run, the event that has become a South End neighborhood tradition!

Presented by Skufca Law, Wooden Robot Brewery, and Beacon Partners, the 5K starts on W Summit Ave in front of Wooden Robot Brewery and heads into Charlotte's thriving South End neighborhood. There is also a 1 Mile Run for those looking for a shorter distance.

The Purple Promise Foundation to End Melanoma

db831fecbada4c9f910b5fe77435251a785bd0d0.jpgThe Purple Promise Foundation is a not-for-profit charity formed to make the public aware of the personal and public costs of melanoma cancer and ways to better identify and prevent all forms of skin cancer. The Foundation was founded for Jessica. Jessica celebrated her 30th birthday on June 30, 2007. She had just received her Masters Degree in Library Science from Catholic University in Washington, DC, and was looking forward to her second wedding anniversary with her husband in July. During a family vacation in August, she announced she was expecting her first child. Life was good...... Then in September, Jessica received a phone call that would change her life...
