Help Brendi raise money

When I was 13, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. This diagnosis changed a lot for me--strengthened my faith, shifted my outlook on life, and made me reassess my career goals. After countless pills, many chemotherapy infusions, two biopsies, and one surgery, I was finally cancer-free at the age of 16. The early days were the most challenging, especially since I was nearly diagnosed with a much more difficult cancer at first. My doctors often described me as remarkable and extraordinary, although at many times when I had no immune system, couldn't go to school, and couldn't be a normal kid, I didn't feel like it. As difficult as it was, I know that because I have survived, I have to do more. I plan on advocating for increased federal funding and bringing awareness to pediatric cancer at the national level one day but until then, I will do all that I can to help cancer patients and families.
