Description
As towns, regions, and countries do what they can to flatten the curve and limit the impact to local healthcare resources, the ultimate exit strategy for returning to "normal" will come when an effective vaccine is available to everyone.
CEPI has moved with great urgency and in coordination with WHO (World Health Organization), who is leading the development of a coordinated international response. So far, CEPI has initiated nine partnerships to improve our understanding and to develop vaccines against the novel coronavirus. The programs will leverage rapid response platforms already supported by CEPI as well as new partnerships. The aim is to advance COVID-19 vaccine candidates into clinical testing as quickly as possible.
