Ride the 901 Virtual Challenge
In an effort to support the local cycling community, we are launching the Ride the 901 Virtual Challenge. You have 6 weeks to ride as many miles as possible. Your entry into this challenge will support Start2Finish Event Management, the Memphis Hightailers Bicycle Club, and the local cycling community. This will give us a platform to challenge ourselves, motivate others, create accountability, and get more people riding bikes. When riding, we ask that you adhere to all social distance recommendations required by the CDC. Let's have some fun and get some miles. Please support your local bike shop with any needs that you may have.
Here's how it works...
Register for the challenge. The cost is $30 (includes shipping and processing fees) and we'll send out your shirt. If you just want the shirt and don't want to do the challenge, that's cool. If you want to do the challenge, go to step 2. | |
This is not required, but we'd love for you to set up an account on Strava and then join our private Strava club. We'll send instructions in your confirmation email. Encouraging, reminiscing, and friendly trash-talking is permitted and encouraged. | |
Join either the Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced Challenge Hound group to track your Total Mileage Challenge. We'll send instructions in your confirmation email. | |
Ride, ride, ride your bike to accumulate the most cycling miles in 6 weeks. Track the Challenge Hound Leaderboards for Most Distance, Most Elevation Gain, Most Consistency, and Most Dedication. Every pedal stroke counts. The challenge runs from April 13 - May 24. Strava will have the weekly leader boards, Challenge Hound will have the 6 week total leader board. | |
Ride your distance of the week. Submit your Distance of the Week ride time into the Virtual Results. Your distance has to be at least as long as the Distance of the Week, but it's ok if it's longer. (must be ridden in one activity) There are no awards for fastest times for the week, just bragging rights and accountability. | |
Cross your fingers! Each week on Monday we'll pick a random winner from each category to win a prize from one of our favorite local companies that has supported the race community over the years. You must upload your results before Sunday at midnight to be eligible for the weekly prize! |
