On behalf of the Town of Fort Mill we want to invite you to join us in the Fort Mill Parks & Rec Virtual Running/Walking Challenge! This has been a very trying time for our community, and we want you to know you are still at the forefront of our minds. We're hoping this Virtual Challenge is a great way for your family to stay active and healthy during these unprecedented times. Please stay safe, follow all CDC guidelines, and above all have fun!
We are also raising money for the Fort Mill Care Center. A volunteer run non-profit organization of concerned citizens who address the immediate needs of other citizens within the town of Fort Mill. Their major emphasis is helping families who find themselves in need of basic necessities.
Here's how it works...
Register for the challenge. The cost is $25 for adults (includes shipping) and $15 for kids (13 & under) and we'll send out your shirt within 5 business days. Kids must register with an adult, and cannot register by themselves. If you just want the shirt and don't want to do the challenge, that's cool. If you want to do the challenge, go to step 2. | |
This is not required, but we'd love for you to set up an account on Strava and then join our private Strava club. We'll send instructions in your confirmation email. Encouraging, reminiscing, and friendly trash-talking is permitted and encouraged. | |
Run or walk each week! The challenge runs from April 20 - May 17. | |
Submit your time for one walk or run each week into the Virtual Results. Your distance has to be at least as long as the Distance of the Week, but it's OK if it's longer. See the chart below for more information. | |
Cross your fingers! Each week on Monday we'll pick a random winner to be showcased up on the website! You must upload your results before Sunday at midnight to be eligible for the weekly drawing! |
