Join us in our first virtual Run in support of Charlotte's Immigrant communities affected by the Covid-19 crisis.

The Latin American Coalition restructured its services to open a Spanish hotline for the Latino community affected by the COVID-19 crisis. The LAC HELPLINE provides relief to immigrant families that will experience the most substantial impact of this crisis, as many cannot work from home and will not be eligible for government aid.

The line offer information on crisis assistance, help with groceries, questions about the school system, low-cost clinics, document translation, health clinics, immigration, and citizenship consultations, among others, and is available regardless of the family immigration status.

Two Ways to Participate

Virtual Challenge		Extreme Runner
- Run 1 Km per week for five weeks! - At the end of the challenge you will have completed the 5Km distance! - Upload your results each week to the Virtual Results page to be entered into prize drawings.		- Run a full 5K distance all at once. - Compare your results to other extreme runners in the Virtual Results page.

Unlike a traditional race, our Virtual Run/Walk takes place where you are and when you want, anytime from May 4th through June 7th, 2020. Run in place, around your back yard, or safely through your neighborhood and keep track using one of our suggested apps.

Closing ceremony will be Sunday June 7th! Join us on Facebook LIVE for a virtual awards ceremony, live music, and celebration!

All funds raised will go directly to our LAC Helpline to assist thousands of people affected by COVID-19 crisis.

Here's how it works...

	Register for the challenge. The cost is $35 (includes shipping) and we'll send out your shirt within 10 business days.
	This is not required, but we'd love for you to set up an account on Strava and then join our private Strava club. We'll send instructions in your confirmation email. Keep up with other runners progress, offer encouragement, and virtually socialize with other City of Immigrants Virtual Run participants!
	VIRTUAL RUN: Run or walk each week! The challenge runs from May 4 through June 7. Run just 1K a week to be eligible for the weekly prize drawing! EXTREME RUNNERS: Run the full 5K distance anytime before June 8!
	Virtual runners will submit your time for one walk or run each week into the Virtual Results. Extreme runners will submit your time when you've completed your 5K.
	Cross your fingers! Each Sunday at 4 pm we'll pick a random winner from everyone who ran at least 1K and submit their time! Extreme Runners will automatically be included in the drawing when they submit their time.
