East Gaston High School Virtual 4K
May 17 - 24

Time to get off the phones, take a break from your Zoom classes and join us for our Virtual 4K. Simply throw your chrome book on the bed, lace up some sneaks, dress yourself in some fresh workout gear, and knock out your 4K (2.49 miles) run/walk. Participants can run/walk the 4K distance anytime during the week of May 17 - 24. Money donated will help support food banks in the Stanley, NC and Mt. Holly, NC communities.

East Gaston is built on overcoming adversity. From its inception it was created to bring together two rival communities to become one school, proving that we are Warriors through and through. Now in the midst of this Covid-19 we find ourselves overcoming adversity like we have so many other times to help those around us.
And that's why you will always find us saying the words,

"KEEP CHOPPIN'!"

Here's how it works...

	Register for the East Gaston High School Virtual 4K (2.49 miles). The cost is $25 (includes shipping) and we'll send out your shirt or tank pronto.
	This is not required, but we'd love for you to set up an account on Strava and then join our private Strava club. We'll send instructions in your confirmation email. Encouraging, reminiscing, and friendly trash-talking is permitted and encouraged.
	The 4K runs from May 17 - 24. You have one week to submit your 4K time into the Virtual Results. For more information on submitting your time, click here.

So how does a Virtual Race work? You get out and run/walk your 4k (2.49 miles) and bring along your favorite tracking device. When you are finished, take a picture or screenshot that shows your distance and time.
