My Story…
I am riding each day Aug 1st to 15th with an overall goal of 650km, 10km for each year I have been around. I am also Team Captain of Strathcona Sunrise Rotary Club and we are riding a local 30 km loop on Aug 12th that we normally do as a Social Activity in July, for our "Club Ride"
I have participated in the YANA RIDE each year since 2014 completing either the 50 or 100km loops.
Description
Every dollar raised in the community goes to help provide financial support and accommodation to Comox Valley families who need to travel to access medical care for a child or pregnant mother.
$50 = 1 night stay at a YANA apartment in Vancouver near BC Children’s Hospital
$100 = 1 night stay near Nanaimo Hospital
$200 = YANA envelope of cash for family’s emergency hospital transfer
$400 = 2 weeks stay at Jeneece Place in Victoria
$1000 = 1 month travel expense funding for a family away from home
