Our team's story

Our story starts in the 36th week of pregnancy with our first son, Carson. Through a routine ultrasound it was determined that our little boy had developed congenital hydrocephalus, water on the brain. When Carson was born he stayed in the NICU for over two weeks for observation, testing and to monitor any issues related to his illness. We would be back and forth between our home in St. Catharines and McMaster Children’s Hospital over the next year for Carson’s first brain surgery... IT IS TRULY SO SPECIAL TO BE ABLE TO RAISE MONEY FOR THIS AMAZING PLACE SO MANY OF US NEEDED TO CALL HOME!! AS TOP FUNDRAISERS FOR 7 YEARS IN A ROW, WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE THE STREAK & BRING HOME IT HOME FOR THE 8TH YEAR! THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CONTINUES TO HELP US IN ALL EFFORTS TO SUPPORT OTHERS!

Ronald McDonald House Charities South Central Ontario (RMHCSCO) serves as a regional resource for thousands of families whose children are being treated at local hospitals. Families typically come to us within 48 hours of their child's critical diagnosis, premature birth, or accident. These families' lives have been instantly turned upside down and our programs are committed to providing safe and comfortable accommodations, nutritious home-cooked meals, laundry services and specialized programming. By making a donation today, you will be helping to ensure that these comforts of home are available to provide a sense of normalcy when their lives are anything but, and ensure that the only thing our families need to focus on is each other.
