Our team's story
Kai is a little ball of curiosity, love, and fire. This is our 4th annual celebration of Kai completing treatment for stupid cancer. He fought hard. We fought hard. We spent many sleepless nights at McMaster Children's Hospital escaping to the Ronald McDonald House for rest and respite. Our food was provided. Our bed was comfortable, and our family could stay close together while we fought for and with this sweet little gem of a kid. This year, we want to honour and celebrate the gifts that the Ronald McDonald House gave us during some dark times.
On special occasions, they have little gift bags waiting for you outside your door. They have laundry detergent and washing machines when you only have one change of clothes. They have essentials and then add the special touches that made us feel cared for when we were too busy caring for the little ones.

Ronald McDonald House Charities South Central Ontario (RMHCSCO) serves as a regional resource for thousands of families whose children are being treated at local hospitals. Families typically come to us within 48 hours of their child's critical diagnosis, premature birth, or accident. These families' lives have been instantly turned upside down and our programs are committed to providing safe and comfortable accommodations, nutritious home-cooked meals, laundry services and specialized programming. By making a donation today, you will be helping to ensure that these comforts of home are available to provide a sense of normalcy when their lives are anything but, and ensure that the only thing our families need to focus on is each other.
