Trevell was confirmed in utero via amniocentesis which began our journey. Trevell is currently 14 and steroid dependent due to adrenal insufficiency, one of the possible effects of ALD. Trevell has battled the basic illnesses with larger effects for him, with so much will power and we are so proud of him. Currently his adrenal insufficiency is stable with the daily steroid regimen. Our doctoring has taken us to Baltimore where Trevell participated in the Lorenzos Oil study and then back to Minnesota to Mayo Rochester where we are currently and so fortunate for the amazing ALD team. His doctoring includes regular MRI exams and blood work to monitor his ALD, Addisons and steroid regimen.
