Love Art? Who doesn’t! Ever driven by a mural and thought – that’s cool. Want to learn more about the public art in Charlotte? Whether you are new to Charlotte or a native Charlottean, now is your chance to see our beautiful urban artscape and learn more about the artists who created it!

CLT Art and Sole is a 4-week event where you get to discover a new or familiar route that takes you along a Charlotte neighborhood’s public artscape. Each Friday you will receive an email with the route for the week. Using the RunGo app you will hear turn-by-turn directions as well as information on each work of art you pass. It is a wonderful way to spend the morning, afternoon or evening exploring Charlotte’s quirky, artsy neighborhoods.

You choose whether you want to run, walk or stroll through the neighborhood. You can also choose how far you go – we will provide you with three distances each week: Short (1-2 miles), Medium (3-4 Miles) and Long (5-7 Miles).

This event supports the Charlotte Art League. CAL is Charlotte’s oldest nonprofit art gallery and organization and has been serving the art community since 1965. Contribute to this great organization and help it continue to be an accessible gateway to the arts experience for art lovers of all ages and backgrounds. In addition, a portion of each registration will go to support CAL and their community programming.

Here's how it works...

	Register for the challenge. The cost is $35 which includes your choice of tie-dye shirt.
	Each Friday beginning July 10th, you will receive an email with the information on the Art and Sole route. You will receive the name of the new RunGo route for you to use. Each week will be a new neighborhood for you to explore.
	Take a selfie at one or more of the art installations or murals and post on social media. Be creative! Those with the most likes will win some great art. We will highlight the prizes each week. We will also have random drawings for some other cool prizes.
	That’s it! The first week begins on July 11^th. You will receive your first email on July 10^th. You have the whole week to explore the neighborhood route. Go more than once – look at the art in the daylight and under the stars.
