All children deserve to be safe. My birthday, October 22, holds special significance because Jacob Wetterling was abducted on October 22, 1990. I've known about Jacob's story my entire life, and now as a Victim Assistance Specialist for the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center, I spend each day supporting families of missing people and those affected by sexual violence.
I am raising money to support the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center for my birthday and asking my friends and family to join me. If you are able to give your time and energy in running or walking the 5K/11K, I would be honored if you joined my team. If you are able to give financially to support my goal, I would be eternally grateful.
Description
Jacob Wetterling Resource Center, a program of Zero Abuse Project, has has been committed to ending child abuse and maltreatment for the last 30 years. In honor of these years of service to children, families, and communities in MN and beyond, I want to raise funds in support of that mission. Your donation is a statement that you care about the health and safety of children in your community.
