My Story

Like all of us, Timmy has been stuck at home during Covid. Unlike the rest of us, when the phases started, the rules were different for him since he's in a group home. His agency, Amego, has done a phenomenal job caring for him while he had a bad case of covid. They have also kept Timmy and his housemates relaxed and well cared for throughout including going for nice walks in his neighborhood daily. Timmy will be using these walks to complete the Flutie 5K. He adores walking. He adores Amego, and they have been hit hard financially with all sorts of unexpected costs due to covid. If you would like to contribute to his 5K effort, it would be greatly appreciated. The Flutie Foundation will give all the money Timmy raises to Amego which is a very generous gesture. Join me in reaching my goal for Dougie's Epic Adventure: A Magical Flutie 5K, to raise critical funds for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest! 


Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 22-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $15 million to partner schools and organizations who provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people and families affected by autism.The Flutie Foundation also provides direct financial support to families through initiatives like education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, to provide immediate help where it's needed the most.
