My Story…
On August 13, 2008, I was diagnosed with Type One Diabetes. Every single day since has been filled with finger pricks, carb counting, needle sticks, juice boxes for low blood sugars, and insulin pump and sensor site changes. I sometimes can't remember the last time I slept the entire night through without waking up to a pump alarm. I have even lost close friends to T1D. While I undoubtedly can look at the positives that have come into my life from T1D, I would never wish living with this disease on anyone else. I did not get to live a normal, care-free life like other children, and I still do not get to today.
I am so grateful to see how technology has evolved in my years of T1D, and I am so excited to picture the future where diabetes is merely a thing of the past. Your donation, no matter how big or small, helps create this future for everyone. Thank you for your time and generosity, and thank you for being part of curing T1D!
