My Story…
Please join me in fundraising for JCYC's Aloha Run For Black Lives! This year, proceeds from the run will be donated to two amazing organizations, Black Girls Code and Booker T. Washington Community Service Center, as well as scholarships for low income and first generation college students.
Black Girls Code empowers young women of color between the ages of 7-17 to embrace the current tech marketplace as builders and creators by introducing them to skills in computer programming and technology. BGC strives to train 1 million girls of color for computing jobs by 2040.
Booker T. Washington Community Service Center is celebrating the organization’s 100th anniversary of supporting the educational, cultural, and social activities for the black community in San Francisco. BTWCSC has an amazing history of allyship to the Japantown community including caring for the belongings of Japanese American families who were incarcerated during WWII.
