Help Lynn raise money

For participating in Virtual RunGo Dash for Dogs

My Story…

Once again I will be running in an event that is important to me.

When Koa was younger, I very much thought he would benefit from a service dog; however, it takes two years and $35,000 for one certified dog.

BC & Alberta Guide Dogs provides dogs to the visually impaired, autistics, and veterans free of charge!

My heart is warmed to know there is something out there to support those in need.
I plan to run the 5 km - but I've recently upped my run distance to 6km and been hitting better times than ever before - so you never know... I may just take on the 10km or even the 25! (... okay maybe not the 25 this year)
You can register for the run (and join me on Team Tempea!) or show your support with a donation here until March 25th.

--

I've completed my first leg of the race hitting the 5k at my personal best of 28:13.

That's right - SEVEN minutes faster than last year. In your face, last year me!

Next up I have ambitious plans to take on the 10km. Stay tuned to hear my results!

--

I've hit the second bit and the part I was most apprehensive about:

THE 10KM!

I absolutely smashed my past times by clocking in at 1:04:47 (18 minutes better than my time from 2 years ago), I must be doing something right!

And I hardly have any horrid aches and pains.

Go team!

I expect I will be able to knock out the 2km, 3km, and the other 5km without issue before the 25th :)

--

I completed the 2km with a speedwalk to the post office and back.

Does that count as "racing"? I suppose it does. Especially when the doctor has advised me not to run until my knee is stronger.

Getting old is dumb. I plan on leisurely jogs for the foreseeable future and plenty of targeted pilates to get my knee back into running shape :)

--

Managed the 3km in the slowest jog of all time.

My knee accepted this arrangement and I'm feeling good about being able to get the last 5km in.

--

I powered through the final leg of the competition with a new personal best.... 5km in 28:06

Hey, a 7-second improvement is still something!

--

My focus now is knee physio and fundraising for the last 10 days of this event <3
