My Story…
I am honored to be participating in a Breath of Hope's lung run for the 11th year!! I can't believe it's been eleven years since I ran my very first 5k. Since then I'm proud to say I've kept up the habit of running and I look forward to this event every summer. Seeing how much a Breath of Hope has grown each year is so meaningful and I know it's making a difference in the lives of those affected by Lung Cancer.
As most of you know, we lost my mother to lung cancer way too early in 2007. She was 51 years old and did not deserve the struggle she went through. This year I got married and not having her by my side on my wedding day was a tragedy I hope we can prevent for others. I fully believe in the work A Breath of Hope is doing to raise awareness and support research so that no child needs to experience their wedding day without a parent again. Please if you are able, consider a donation to this very worthy cause!
