My Story...
Our lives have come to a halt...lockdown, unable to travel, unable to see family, unable to see friends, unable to do those simple things we love. There is one thing that hasn't come to a complete stop..and that is childhood cancer! #Cancer doesn't stop, it doesn't care about covid but instead it keeps attacking.
There is nothing in this world that makes my heart more happy than being able to participate in the #SL10K run each year.
Being able to support kids that are suffering from cancer is the least I can do after what #SickKids and #CampOoch have done for our very own Mighty Mateja!
Mateja was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at 5 months old. It was not the news we ever expected to hear, but here we were trying to save our little baby girl. I am pleased to say that with her fight and determination our Mighty Mateja had fought the toughest fight of her life and in the end she became our champion! She is now 9 1/2 years old, living her life to the fullest. Mateja is full of life with a smile to light up the room.
We do this each year for our #MightyMateja and all the other warriors out there! Thank you to all our friends and family who have supported us in this journey throughout the years ❤
I hope you will find it in your heart to support us in our annual #SL10K run that is happening May 9th! We need your support in order for #CampOoch to offer children a hopeful journey, where kids with cancer can just be kids, and where families cam connect with a community of strength and support when they need it the most.

Description
A diagnosis of childhood cancer changes life in an instant.
For affected kids and families, it can suddenly feel like everything is about cancer. Camp Ooch offers a hopeful journey, where kids with cancer can just be kids, and families connect with a community of strength and support when they need it the most.
They are much more than a summer camp—they offer the social cure for childhood cancer. Their camp-inspired programs deliver fun, friendship, and community to 1,900 kids and 745 families year-round, all across Ontario. As a response to COVID-19, virtual camp and in-hospital programs continue to reach kids and families living in isolation, wherever they are.
Please consider making a donation to my fundraising efforts—your gift will make a world of difference!
Cancer changes a child’s life. So does camp. And so can you.
