My Story...
I am joining team Sherlock to raise money for Camp OOCH and Trillium. As a mother of two children, I cant even begin to imagine the stress, worry and shock that a parent has to go through when faced with a life threatening diagnosis of their child. My friend Jenn and her heroic son Ben know this all too well and I am so honoured that they asked me to be apart of their team.
Please help me raise money to help keep these amazing camps running for these families and especially the children who are the true heroes. Your generous donation will go towards the running of these camps which provide a safe place for the children to explore, interact with other children who are going through something similar and give the children a sense of community that becomes more like a family. Having the opportunity of camp also gives parents time to recharge and are comforted in knowing that their child is being well cared for while they are away experiencing camp life.

A diagnosis of childhood cancer changes life in an instant.
For affected kids and families, it can suddenly feel like everything is about cancer. Camp Ooch offers a hopeful journey, where kids with cancer can just be kids, and families connect with a community of strength and support when they need it the most.
They are much more than a summer camp—they offer the social cure for childhood cancer. Their camp-inspired programs deliver fun, friendship, and community to 1,900 kids and 745 families year-round, all across Ontario. As a response to COVID-19, virtual camp and in-hospital programs continue to reach kids and families living in isolation, wherever they are.
