My Story...
Since coming to Canada in 1989 I’ve had the privilege of meeting children whose lives have been touched by cancer. Their strength and determination to be kids despite their illness is truly amazing.
Unfortunately, once again Covid restrictions are impacting the camps and fun these children so deserve. However, the staff at Camp Ooch continue to put a smile on their faces with virtual and in hospital visits - from playing games, singing or doing arts & crafts. Hopefully, the camps will resume once it is safe and the children will once again get to enjoy the fun of being at camp, being a kid and making wonderful memories.
I understand these are difficult times for everyone. Any contribution you are able to make would be great fully appreciated to help make a child smile.

Description
A diagnosis of childhood cancer changes life in an instant.
For affected kids and families, it can suddenly feel like everything is about cancer. Camp Ooch offers a hopeful journey, where kids with cancer can just be kids, and families connect with a community of strength and support when they need it the most.
They are much more than a summer camp—they offer the social cure for childhood cancer. Their camp-inspired programs deliver fun, friendship, and community to 1,900 kids and 745 families year-round, all across Ontario. As a response to COVID-19, virtual camp and in-hospital programs continue to reach kids and families living in isolation, wherever they are.
