My Story...
Hi Friends!
I'm running the SL10k in support of Camp Ooch & Camp Trillium this year!
For those of you who don't know, I have been involved with Ooch for almost seven years now and have been lucky enough to witness the massive impact that their programming can have on children affected by cancer.
Unfortunately, the pandemic has massively complicated the planning and implementation of both in-hospital and camp programming. Despite the challenge, however, Ooch has continued to find ingenious ways of supporting children as well as their families!
Any and all contributions will help to ensure that this amazing work keeps on going, and that the kids continue to have awesome experiences!

A diagnosis of childhood cancer changes life in an instant.
For affected kids and families, it can suddenly feel like everything is about cancer. Camp Ooch offers a hopeful journey, where kids with cancer can just be kids, and families connect with a community of strength and support when they need it the most.
They are much more than a summer camp—they offer the social cure for childhood cancer. Their camp-inspired programs deliver fun, friendship, and community to 1,900 kids and 745 families year-round, all across Ontario. As a response to COVID-19, virtual camp and in-hospital programs continue to reach kids and families living in isolation, wherever they are.
