2020 and 2021 have been incredibly challenging years for pretty much everyone in the world, but one silver-lining that we've recognized from this experience is to have gratitude for our health, for our close friends and families, and for over-looked luxury of even just having a roof over our heads.
Camp Oochigeas is an organization which has always put the well-being of their community first and encouraged us, and so many others, to look outside of ourselves and focus on what we should be grateful for.
Camp Oochigeas (Camp Ooch) is a privately funded, volunteer-based organization that provides kids with cancer and kids affected by childhood cancer with unique opportunities for growth through challenging, fun, enriching and magical experiences through summer day camp, overnight camp and year-round city-based programming.
This magical place has had a transformative impact on children who have had to deal with more stress, anxiety, sickness, pain and hardship than the majority of us can even imagine.

A diagnosis of childhood cancer changes life in an instant.
For affected kids and families, it can suddenly feel like everything is about cancer. Camp Ooch offers a hopeful journey, where kids with cancer can just be kids, and families connect with a community of strength and support when they need it the most.
They are much more than a summer camp—they offer the social cure for childhood cancer. Their camp-inspired programs deliver fun, friendship, and community to 1,900 kids and 745 families year-round, all across Ontario. As a response to COVID-19, virtual camp and in-hospital programs continue to reach kids and families living in isolation, wherever they are.
