My Story…
My son was diagnosed with Schizophrenia a few years ago. We lived through the terror of not knowing where to start getting help, whether help would make a difference, whether our son had a future.
With proper education we learned how to support our son, and we also learned that there is a lot of hope.
We run/walk/crawl so that we can help raise funds for education, support and research to give hope to other families that have been dealing with Schizophrenia in their families. We understand what it is like to learn that someone you love is ill. We understand what it is like to wonder whether you should tell anyone because of the stigma. We understand what it is like to fear for the future. We also understand what it is like to enter the light of knowledge and hope.
Help us, help others. Bring hope to the community of those living with Mental Illness.
