My Story…
Hello Friends! After the last year I'm very glad to say that we are back doing the Scotia Bank Charity Challenge and I am once again fundraising for all of our favourite Downtown Eastside, sex worker serving non-profit organization, WISH Drop-In Centre Society!
I've been working at WISH for a whopping 4 years now and through it all, especially a global pandemic, we have only grown and increased our services and supports for our most vulnerable neighbours here in Vancouver, the participants of WISH who felt the impacts of COVID faster and harder than anybody. We have opened our doors 24 hours a day with an outdoor respite site, a 23 bed emergency shelter, and most recently our first offsite location, a bathroom trailer serving a different though equally important part of the neighbourhood. I am doing the 10KM Scotia Bank Run this year (COVID and half marathon training do not go hand in hand for this gal!), and I am always ever so appreciative of any donations in any amount that you, my wonderful friends and family, can offer after such a difficult and testing year.
Thank you so much for your continued support of both me and of WISH, and I hope to see you all soon as we enter a post-COVID world.
