Why AutismBC moves me...
My goal is to run 10km across North Vancouver. From Central Lonsdale to Ambleside Park. Before I joined the AutismBC Team I worked as a behaviour support worker on the North Shore, Ambleside park was always a preferred walking outing for some of my boys. It is fitting to set a race that will end in that location where I have so many fond memories. After I witnessed my boys 'age out' of support services I decided to join the AutismBC team and try to make a difference supporting provincial programs.
I am setting up this race team to engage with our members and countless volunteers who support the AutismBC team continue to support, empower, and connect the community.

Please support me as I participate in the Scotiabank Half Marathon & 5K Charity Challenge to raise funds for AutismBC — an organization that really matters to me. In British Columbia, 1 in 40 children has an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis and there are approximately 60,000 children, youth, and adults on the spectrum. AutismBC is a grassroots organization founded in 1975 to empower, support, and connect the autism community in BC. Since their humble beginnings, they have grown to become one of the most trusted non-profit organizations for autism in BC. Your donation to my page will go towards helping AutismBC provide barrier-free social connections for BC kids, youth and families, workshops that promote supportive, inclusive communities, and information and resource lines that provide current timely information for people across the province.
