My Story…
I am running the Cleveland Marathon 10K to raise money to support the Concussion Legacy Foundation. CLF is leading the fight against concussions and CTE and is dedicated to improving the lives of those impacted.
CLF has made its number one priority supporting the mental health of those struggling with the long-term symptoms of concussion and CTE. The CLF HelpLine is providing urgently needed one-on-one support, resources, peer-to-peer mentors, and medical referrals to patients and families in need during these difficult times. Project Enlist, powered by Wounded Warrior Project, is advancing research and provides resources for active duty and military Veterans with TBI, PTSD, and CTE.
I’m running to support Project Enlist, a program from CLF designed to serve as a catalyst for critical research on TBI, CTE, and PTSD in military Veterans. The scientific understanding of TBI and related disorders is still in its infancy, and we lack accurate diagnostic tests for living patients and effective treatments. I believe that brain bank research is vital to developing effective treatments for TBI, CTE, and PTSD, and I have pledged my own brain to the VA-BU-CLF Brain Bank to help support the important research being done there.
Project Enlist is crucial in making a difference, please make a donation to my run and help provide answers to those in need!
Donate to help Matt raise money for 2021 Cleveland Marathon’s fundraising campaign.
