The Covid-19 pandemic has affected all of us at so many levels. It is particularly challenging for patients diagnosed with glioblastoma, the most advanced brain tumor for adults. Patients and their families have to cope with this diagnosis, the fear and delays to access to standard treatment or to new clinical trials and the slow progress of research to develop novel therapies.  

Our Cancer Therapeutics Team has been eagerly working to design an effective and affordable strategy in a pre-clinical study testing a FDA-approved drug in glioblastoma. This drug is readily available in prescription for another indication, well-known for its safety. We are thrilled to advance this drug in combination with radiotherapy in a phase II clinical trial for patients with recurrent glioblastoma.
