My Story…
Ravyn is running for RECLAIM. Five years ago Ravyn returned home after a three week hospital stay following open heart surgery to repair a congenital heart defect. Now a healthy 5 year old (soon to be 6), she is a bright, compassionate bundle of energy, eager to run!
To celebrate just how far she has come …Ravyn will be participating in the Banque Scotia 5K virtual race. Over a five week period (May 15th – June 12th) – Ravyn will be running 1K a week in support of family literacy. The great niece of RECLAIM’s Executive Director, she was recruited to represent the children that RECLAIM’s programs have supported over the past 41 years, as part of our family literacy initiatives. An avid learner, already reading and having developed a love of learning, she understands the importance of helping others. She will be completing her 5th 1K run on June 12th, one day before her sixth birthday.
