My Story…
I first traveled to Haiti in June 2017 for a medical mission trip, and the love for the country and desire to help continues to stay with me. The people and the place are will always hold a deep hold in my heart. I traveled there with Haiti H2O, and continue to remain active in the organization as a member of the board.
Each year, I run this marathon to help the communities in Haiti thrive and become sustainable in their own ways. Particularly after a year after the pandemic, when trips down to Haiti are not possible, the country needs our help.

Haiti H2O is a development organization based in Pittsburgh partnering to transform hope into opportunity in rural Haiti. Our approach is to take time to listen to local leaders and invest in their ideas, empowering them to make positive change. We currently work with four rural communities in areas such as education, health and sanitation, business initiatives, home construction, and livestock cooperative.
