My Story…
Since running isn't necessarily my sweet spot, it helps to RUN FOR A REASON! I joined Open Hand Ministries (OHM) in Sept 2020. I'm willing to lace up my running shoes for OHM because I couldn't be prouder of the work we do: opening doors to new opportunities and home ownership. Long time residents of the East End are being forced out by rapid development/gentrification. OHM seeks to reverse that trend.
Best day of my 2020 pandemic year? Helping a young mother and her sons move into their first home two days before Christmas. The smile on the face of a 9 year old knowing he'd wake up in his own bed in his own room for the very first time in his life on Christmas Day was PRICELESS!
