My Story…
In 2020, despite the disruptions of the pandemic, I completed my first 5K ever! For you seasoned runners, that probably doesn't sound like much - for me, that was a triumph. And thanks to my friend Rhonda's ingenuity, we also won 1st place for "Most Unique Course" with the Pittsburgh Marathon :)
This year, I have set myself the challenge of running 4-5 miles for Haiti H2O's Run for Hope marathon relay. This fantastic organization (which, full disclosure, I also work for!) partners with four communities in rural Haiti, on initiatives such as healthcare clinics, micro-businesses, sanitation projects and the construction of homes and schools.

Haiti H2O is a development organization based in Pittsburgh partnering to transform hope into opportunity in rural Haiti. Our approach is to take time to listen to local leaders and invest in their ideas, empowering them to make positive change. We currently work with four rural communities in areas such as education, health and sanitation, business initiatives, home construction, and livestock cooperative.
