Help Eileen raise money

For participating in 2021 DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend

My Story…

So I'm back for my 6th year as a charity runner for Light of Life Rescue Mission! I grew up on Pittsburgh's North Side and this organization has been working tirelessly for those in need for longer than I've been alive. They provide food, shelter and hope (and lots of other assistance and support) to those who don't see a lot of that in their regularly lives. They were there for my cousin when he was struggling with addiction, and while he has since passed, that would have happened years before were it not for the help he received from Light of Life.

Description

Since 1952, Light of Life Rescue Mission, a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization, continues to transform lives for women, children, men, and families experiencing homelessness, poverty and addiction. Light of Life is the place where hope and healing meet. We are igniting transformation through truth-based programming with our continuum of care and the love of Christ. Our goal is to restore those in need to healthy members of our community.

Last year, the impact we made together included:

  1. 377,000+ meals, between 300-350 meals a day
  2. 130 beds available in both buildings across all programs
  3. 3 chapel services for those in need every day
  4. 153+ in our Men’s, Women’s and Children’s Programs
  5. 1,500 Thanksgiving donner baskets provides to families in need
