Mon histoire…
For my big brother Tyler:
This ones for you.
Thank you for showing me what real courage looks like. If you can kick cancer's ass, surely I can run a half marathon.
I'll be running a half marathon to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society. An organization, I had hoped I'd never have a personal connection to. In March of 2020 while COVID-19 was spreading, my big brother Tyler was diagnosed with Cancer, and today he's still fighting and kicking cancer's ass
.When someone you love is diagnosed with cancer, there's not a lot you can do. But logically running a half marathon to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society feels like something I can do- to support an organization that provides essential supports and investments into research.
If you're able to donate, I have a link to my fundraising page below. Because of the donations made a decade ago, early detection and screening has advanced astronomically, supports for those battling cancer have grown, and the actual research into a cure and less debilitating treatments has evolved more than anyone could have predicted.
Think of what a donation today could do.
