Why I'm Running...
Friends, and family,
The Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre is one of Ontario’s largest and most innovative long-term care homes. The centre enables seniors and veterans to live life to the fullest.
Today, the Perley Rideau is home to 450 residents, including 250 Veterans. The Government of Canada provides additional funding for the care of Veterans, but donations to the Perley Rideau Foundation improve their quality of life in direct and significant ways.
Through your support, the Perley Rideau continues to be a thriving Ottawa Health Centre that delivers top-quality care in a personalized and compassionate manner.
My team, the Radar and Communications Systems (R&CS) team, or “R&CS for Perley Vets”, was created as part of the DGAEPM Perley Vets fundraising campaign.
Our goal is to walk 50km within the Gatineau region to raise awareness and donations to help improve the quality of life of our WWII and Korean War veterans currently residing at the Perley Rideau Centre.
