Welcome to my fundraising page for the Ottawa Hospital Foundation!  

I provide mental health care to patients at the Ottawa Hospital as a psychiatrist in the Outpatient Urgent Care Clinic.  I also help out wherever else I'm needed including covering shifts in the emergency psychiatric department, the inpatient psychiatric unit, and consultation liaison services.  I am passionate about providing excellent mental health care to people in our community, the need for which has only increased significantly over the last year.  I am hoping that by raising awareness of the important role that mental health services play in maintaining overall wellness in the community, we will be able to raise the necessary funds to further mental health research for the benefit of our patients in our community and beyond.

Did you know that the Ottawa Hospital is the largest acute psychiatry provider in Ottawa?  How about that we have almost 100 inpatient psychiatry beds, an eating disorders program, first episode psychosis clinic and mobile crisis team?  Whether in the emergency, on the wards or in the community we are proud to play a vital role in our region's mental health care needs.

We love what we do but we would love to do even better!  We have attracted international specialists and researchers to do practice changing research, right here in Ottawa.

Find out which new moms are most at risk for post partum depression and what we can do about it.

Determine the best ways to keep our first responders in top mental health.
