My Story…
Getting fit and staying that way hasn't been easy for me. Until I discovered running, or more accurately, jogging or walking really, really fast. It got me out of the house and into the neighborhood. It often wasn't fun but it was a great challenge. I felt good about myself when I finished, no matter how that run went.
I had to stop running because of bad arthritis in my knees but will happily put my walking shoes on for this 5k because of RBG and Girls, Inc. I grow up in a safe and loving family but was very shy and a late bloomer. I would have benefited from a program like Girls, Inc. and am happy to support their mission. Will you?
