My Story…
FCRR means so very much to our family. They have always supported TVCC and fundraiser to help them assist families with special needs kids. FCRR was the first ever race I ran with Jordan. We did a 10k race.
All of Jordan's therapies from birth until now have been through TVCC. They were the first people to help me realize the lifelong struggle we would be facing and they have always been there for us. Jordan has had speech therapy (when he was still able to communicate) physiotherapy, occupational therapy, seating and mobility, water therapy etc all through TVCC.
I made a promise when Jordan was born that if he ever walked I would run a marathon pushing him. Several years ago he started walking with a walker on wheels in physiotherapy so now we run. 5k, 10k and now a half Marathon April 2021. He can no longer use his walker due to several strokes but we are excited to be back running.
FCRR, TVCC and CHF all came together this past fall when Jordan's jogging stroller was stolen. They jumped at the opportunity to help us fundraiser for new wheels so Jordan could get back to racing. Within 24 hours enough money was raised for his stroller and over 48 hours enough money was raised to help other families purchase equipment also.
So you see it is a full circle of love. We support FCRR and TVCC through running and fundraising, FCRR supports TVCC and TVCC supports Jordan's needs. Truly we could not do any of this thing called life without them.
From the depths of my heart please donate to Team Jordan and our adventure to run and survive the FCRR half marathon. 21.5 kms pushing 150 lbs of Jordan and equipment. Please help us reach our goal so we can help FCRR and TVCC reach their goal!
Donate to help Jordan raise money for Forest City Road Races 2021’s fundraising campaign.
