My Story…
My sister Janelle has suffered from years of infertility, but kept hope that one day she and her husband would have a child of their own. Evangeline Faye is their little miracle. They were overjoyed with the expectation of her arrival in May 2021.
Our precious Evie was born extremely premature at 22 weeks and 4 days due to early onset pre-eclampsia. She was delivered to save Janelle's life. Evie was born on January 14th at 8:41am. She had black hair, weighed 10.4 ounces and was 10 inches long. The moment she was born Evie’s tiny fingers gripped her father's hand. She spent her time on Earth cradled in the arms of those who loved her until she quietly passed. Although she only lived briefly, Evangeline Faye has left a lasting imprint on the hearts of her dear parents and myself.
The organization Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep aims to offer every family experiencing the death of a baby the healing power of remembrance by offering a free gift of professional portraiture of their baby. NILMDTS hosts an annual Remembrance Walk in which I am participating. The walk, called "Our Journey Together" is for parents, family members, and friends to come together to remember a precious baby who has died due to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, neonatal or any type of pregnancy or infant loss. A donation in the amount of $125 is equivalent to the NILMDTS cost in delivering one photographic session of a baby, which is valued at $2,000.
Please consider making a donation to our team to provide a future family with the treasured gift of remembrance portraiture.
