As many of you know, our sweet Carson was born on February 7, 2021 and passed unexpectedly shortly after. As Jason and I reflect on the time we had with Carson, we recognize the most pure form of love and caring we were given from the hospital staff. Without my knowledge, a nurse immediately contacted NILMDTS and a photographer came that night. At the time I truly wasn’t interested in a stranger coming and taking photos of us just hours after the most unimaginable situation had occurred. Now I realize what an extraordinary gift we had been given when Shonda came and captured those beautiful images of Carson and our family. There are no words to express the gratitude we feel. Therefore, it is important to us to give back to this organization so that they can continue to give this gift to families that find themselves facing the tragedy of losing their child.
