Help us raise money

Dear Family and Friends,

Although many of you were there to provide support and comfort me, others may not know that on March 7,1991 I  lost my firstborn son Kevin, a few hours after his birth. Many years later, I learned about an organization called, Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. NILMDTS is a nonprofit organization that is very near and dear to my heart. It provides parents with the gift of remembrance photography when suffering the loss of a baby.

In memory of Kevin, I have decided to step out of my “comfort zone” and ask all of you to help me raise funds in order to provide this precious, irreplaceable gift for parents. These parents, unknowingly, will sadly walk in my shoes one day. On 3/7/1991, taking photos of my beautiful baby was the furthest thing from my mind. When I left the hospital with “empty arms,”  I was handed two Polaroid photos of Kevin that I will ALWAYS treasure. These photos were not taken by a professional photographer, nor were they photos that one would display. That being said, I still couldn’t be more grateful for having them in my possession.

Having experienced the loss of a child, I know how very important heirloom remembrance portraits can be in the “healing process.”  Unfortunately, there will always be bereaved parents and this is why supporting NILMDTS is so important.
