My Story…
Over the past fourteen years, I have had the privilege of working with a wonderful dedicated Board, staff and volunteers to make the Vine Trail a reality.
Every day, the existing 12.5 mile long section of the Vine Trail is making the difference to the lives of Napans. During the Pandemic, the Vine Trail has become the "go to" alternative gym or place where individuals and families have been able to relieve stress, walking, running, skateboarding or cycling.
Can you imagine what an impact and benefit it will be when all 47 miles are completed?
We need your support to finish this project which will be a great legacy to leave to our children and future generations.
On March 29, 2021, a dear friend both to me personably, and to the Vine Trail, Dieter Deiss, passed away. I am dedicating my Month of Movement miles and fundraising in his honor.
I often referred to Dieter as the "Godfather of the Vine Trail". He encouraged and persuaded the cities and county to put up some funds to fund the Feasibility Study of the Vine Trail that will connect all the communities in Napa Valley.
Dieter may not have been able to make that ride from Vallejo to Calistoga, but he is with us all in spirit.
Description
The Napa Valley Vine Trail Coalition’s Month of Movement Challenge is fitness and fun focused fundraising for all ages.
The VINE TRAIL vision is for a safe and scenic way for you, me, our kids, friends and pets to get around the Napa Valley. Currently 20 miles of trail segments, one day you’ll be able to take a Ferry from San Francisco to Vallejo and then head by foot or pedal safely 47 miles to Calistoga on the VINE TRAIL!
We need your help to make this happen.
The Vine Trail Coalition (a 501c3 nonprofit) raises private funds for trail design, engineering and maintenance PLUS the matching funds for local, state and federal grants. Your donation dollar typically leverages $3-$4 in grant funding.
