My Individual Story
As many of you know, this race will be my first 5K EVER.
The last year has been a long journey into reclaiming my health and my sense of purpose. After much work and introspection what I have found is that true happiness in found in helping others get what they want in life. I have been able to profoundly appreciate the abundance that God has given me and I am taking steps into creating a life of service-literally.
This race represents not only a celebration of a year of rising but it is my hope that every step taken on July 4th solidifies my commitment to serve others and spread the love of God. I am training for the people of Asheville that need hope and a place to call home. I am investing my time, energy and resources and hopefully it will make an impact to someone so they get to know that they are worthy of love and safety.

$95,000 will build a 700 square foot home that is deeply affordable and provides a family a way to earn equity that lifts them out of poverty. Costs include site work and a 30 year maintenance plan.
