My Story…
I lost my sister to colon cancer when she was 48 years old. Early screening for her could have saved her life - but it saved mine. Her diagnosis meant that I was screened at 43 years old and had two polyps removed. A 5 year follow up screening saw another polyp removed from my colon. All before it would have ever been found by a routine screening at 50. I am participating to raise awareness for the need for early screening and detection and to honour my sister and best friend who was taken far too soon.
