My team is running in memory of my Mom Inga. Mom passed away last year April 15,2020 from this ugly cancer. There is so much research that needs to done to learn how to fight this horrible disease and methods of scanning for detection before it's too late. Cholangiocarcinoma also known as Bile Duct cancer it is a rare and often fatal cancer . My Mom was diagnosed right before Christmas of 2019. From that point on it was a roller coaster of emotions and fight or flight set in . We went to 4 different oncologists for different opinions for treatment . We even flew to Georgia to Cancer center treatments of America for one of those opinions. Mom was diagnosed terminal from the beginning . Her Tumor was wrapped around her portal vein making it inoperable from the start. She had absolutely no warning signs prior to diagnosis. We were shocked and devastated . This cancer is aggressive and fast . It is a silent killer and often misdiagnosed.
