Help Maria raise money

Since the first pandemic lockdown last March I haven't been able to go out wheeling in my manual chair, and using my exercise machine just isn't as fulfilling as wheeling. As well as missing the companionship, I really miss using my arm strength and the feeling of covering distance instead of being stationary. But to help raise money in this year's virtual Achilles St. Patrick's Day challenge, I'm going to try to use the exercise machine as much as possible.

Achilles supports athletes with disabilities by providing sighted guides to blind runners, walkers and wheelers, or running buddies to runners with other special needs. During the pandemic we've been checking in with each other through Zoom, since some of us aren't able to come out and we haven't been able to gather in groups.

The money we raise during this challenge will help our members both during and after the pandemic. I know money's tight for a lot of people, but your donation to Achilles will help our athletes with disabilities to pay for things like race fees, running shoes, and other stuff we need.
