Make the Strawberry Sprint & Stroll 5K your newest family tradition!

Start the South Carolina Strawberry Festival week off with a new addition to Fort Mill, the inaugural Strawberry Sprint & Stroll 5K! This family-friendly 5K will begin and end at the intersection of Main Street and Confederate Street in the heart of downtown Fort Mill. The rolling hills create a challenging yet fun distance for runners and walkers alike. Kick off spring in a safe, fun format with Fort Mill's new hometown race. This race will use a Start Wave format to accommodate for social distancing. Registrants will select a Start Wave when they register and will be required to start in that window. Waves will consist of no more than 50 runners.

First 250 participants are guaranteed a race shirt and a medal!!

This race is made possible by the Fort Mill Economic Partners, whose mission is to advance quality-of-life opportunities in the town of Fort Mill to ensure a thriving community for both life and work.

PLEASE NOTE: There are NO road closures for this race. There will be police support at busy intersections to stop traffic, but runners/walkers should exercise caution during their race!

Things to Know:

1. Participate in the 5k, Fun Run or Virtual Run. Registration is required for all.
2. There will be no vendor village or post-race celebration due to COVID-19 protocols.
3. There is no race day packet pickup. All participants should pick up their packet in advance or opt to have it shipped to them.
4. We will make a call as to whether day of registration will be available prior to the race. At this time we are not planning on day of registration
5. There will be no water stops on the race course or at the start/finish line. Please bring enough water for you and your family.
6. We ask that attendees wear masks at all times unless they are actively racing or with their group, appropriately socially distanced from others.
7. Awards will be available on race day for pick up once results are confirmed. We will not have an award ceremony but we will have" Berry," the Strawberry Festival mascot, on hand for photos.
8. Awards will be given to the Top Male/Top Female Overall and the top finisher in each age group for the 5k: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over. Virtual participants are not eligible for awards.

REFUND & WEATHER POLICY
Race registration is non-refundable. This race will run rain or shine unless there is severe weather such as tornado warnings, thunderstorms, heavy and persistent rain etc. Should we cancel, you will be notified via social media, our website and email. Should we cancel there will be no refunds as that money has already been put toward the race.
